Hello I’m A.Poojashree a classical dancer, passionate and fascinated by the art of movement and the power of expression of music. Dance is my way to connect with the world, communication greater than words. For me, every performance is a journey of feelings and stories knit into the pattern of complex rhythms and melodies of classical music. Beauty of any kind captures my soul and inspires me to look for something meaningful and beautiful in life.
The temples are my sanctuaries, where I find peace, spirituality, and deep contact with tradition. Serenity in these sacred places serves as a source of inspiration for both my dance and life; it grounds me in the ancient wisdom and cultural richness of South India. Museums feed my curiosity and love for history. I adore wandering through exhibits, absorbing stories from the past, and learning how art evolved through the ages.
Everything says south Indian to my personality-both in the way I hold my head up as well as in the number of minor whims that bring a smile to my face. Filter coffee is my everyday ritual. It is truly the warmth and comfort that my mornings begin with. Flowers are something of a good luck charm for me, sometimes adorning my hair and sometimes filling my rooms with the delicate scent that adds beauty and grace to daily life.
Just like the great outdoors, I am equally drawn to beaches as my refuge. There is nothing quite like being lost in the rhythm of the ocean, away from all human interference, to let my mind just drift free. For me, one thing with libraries is that they really do become secluded refuge for reflection, learning, and for getting derailed by stories. Whether I am reading or just navigating, libraries have always been a god place to indulge in daydreaming and lose my train of thought.
I've traveled quite a lot in my life. Well, it's rather tough even to go into detail about all the places I saw, but let's just say that adventure stirs something inside of me. It makes me feel fresh for new perspectives and enriched in terms of creativity and brings new dimensions to whatever art I'm working on.
And then there's daydreaming. That's where my creativity lives. It's just in the quietest moments that it comes to mind-in bits and pieces of new movements, stories, and ideas in dance. And this is what mingles tradition, culture, nature, and imagination for me, based and introducing good me to the love of the arts but leaving me open to new skies.
